The Department of Ecology focuses on Land-Based Applied Ecology, carrying out research and teaching in the following specialist areas: Conservation and Biodiversity; Sustainable Agriculture and Ecosystem Services; Evolutionary Biology; Animal Behaviour; Molecular Ecology; Spatial Ecology; Restoration and Invasive Species; Wildlife and Pest Management; Māori and Ecology; Entomology Museum; and Plant Pathology.
