Abstract
To gain an understanding of the horticultural land use system in New Zealand today - at the broad scale, and then focusing in on a specific region - namely the Tauranga County. • to outline the values of importance in the discipline of Landscape Architecture, and relate these to the horticultural land use system discussed. From this will emerge the landscape implications of horticulture. • to identify and investigate opportunities that exist regarding the integration of the landscape values listed into the horticultural land use system i.e. determine methods of enhancing the current landscape implications.
