The Bio-Protection Research Centre is an academic unit outside of the University faculty structure focusing primarily on delivering externally funded research and postgraduate education.

Research within the Centre focuses on the sustainable reduction of damage to our terrestrial plant ecosystems from invertebrate pests, weeds and diseases. Projects span from fundamental investigator led science through to very applied, industry led, solution focused, research.

The Bioprotection Aotearoa Centre of Research Excellence (CoRE), is hosted within the Bio-Protection Research Centre at Lincoln University. This collaborative research programme encompasses 11 partner institutions across New Zealand. More information is available from Bio-Protection Aotearoa.
