Aim • To determine in what ways "sustainable development" has been constructed by local government in New Zealand and how this has affected its implementation. Objectives • Determine how the concept of "sustainable development" has been framed (socially constructed) by local government in New Zealand. • Explore how implementation has been affected by the social construction of sustainable development.
