Abstract
In the present era, the challenge for career counselling is to break the hold of age-old assumptions about men and women, work and family; and find fresh approaches to worklife issues. A new model of Career Crafting is proposed to fit the new paradigm. The presentation will elucidate the research findings, brief personal history, and a case study that exemplify the concept of Career Crafting. The research results burst myths about gendered
career patterns and the glass ceiling. It will be demonstrated that Career Crafting can take an individual beyond the often supposed limiting variables of age, gender, education, and work experience etc., and facilitate personal success.
