The profitability of hill country development

Abstract

Earlier publications of the Research Unit describe methods which have been developed for assessing the profitability of development projects requiring long periods of time to come to fruition. In this paper the author describes the application of these methods to measuring the profitability of North Island hill country development. The paper is about methods of analysis and results for three farms are given only by way of example. A subsequent publication will give detailed results for a range of hill country farms.
