Abstract
Creating inclusive, user-friendly spaces is a perennial challenge confronting sports facilities that attempt to open their doors to the community while also servicing elite sports programmes. In this chapter, we probe tensions that underpin the co-habitation of elite and community sports in New Zealand settings amidst assumed utopian visions for managing and merging such disparate sporting groups.
