Abstract
Australia and New Zealand are relatively new players in the wine industry, but both have experienced rapid growth in wine production over the past three decades. While the characteristics of the wine and the landscapes of the wine regions in these two countries differ around visits to winery cellar doors, supported by a range of complementary experiences. There are many networks and organizations involved in the development and promotion of wine tourism in each country, operating at the national to local level. The efforts of these organizations and other stakeholders seem to have intensified in recent years, as the value of a wine tourist experience is more widely appreciated and recognized.
