Abstract
This report aims to assess the future of the New Zealand sheep and beef sector
through to 2025. The assessment is based on an examination of the internal and
external constraints that will influence meat production and their potential
effects. It then suggests a vision for the industry, and the types of strategies
needed to turn threats into opportunities and secure the long-term viability of
the industry.
