Abstract

There are three options available to increase net farm incomes: 1. To further intensify production within an existing management programme. 2. To diversify into other products. 3. To increase gross income by increased area of land (expansion). The purpose of this Dissertation is to examine these options and how they relate to intensive pastoral sheep farms in Southland.
