Abstract
Results indicated that rhizomatous legumes have a potentially productive role in the low rainfall, low to moderately fertile grasslands now dominated by hawkweeds. The major constraint to widespread use is lack of commercially available seed, and it is suggested that further work be aimed at increasing seed supplies, in addition to investigating aspects of grazing management.
