Abstract
When preparing the financial reports for growers, the following objectives should be kept in view. 1. To provide the grower with a clear and concise statement of the results of h~s operations for any financial year, or at any point in that year. 2. To draw attention to results to enable year by year comparisons. 3. To assist with the preparation of financial forecasts or budgets. 4. To prepare an annual return of income and give precise information to the grower concerning amounts of tax which he will have to pay. 5. To provide ·to prospective lenders details of past performance and summaries of financial results. 6. To prepare a statement for the grower to draw attention to problems and to keep the matter under review. 7. To allow comparison of results to be made with similar farms in the district.
