Abstract
The research looks at the influence of relationship quality on supplier performance. Data was collected through semi structured interviews followed by a quantitative survey of New Zealand sheep, beef and deer farmers. The data was analysed using structural equation modelling. The results showed that relationship quality is an important antecedent for supplier loyalty and communication. It also had a significant effect on supplier quality though this relationship had a low R2 indicating there were other factors that determine supplier quality.
