The underlying activities of supply chain collaboration and their contribution towards achieving resilience

Abstract

This paper explores some of the activities involved in supply chain collaboration and discuss their contribution towards supply chain resilience. Multiple case study method is selected for this study and the emphasis is on food supply chain in two different regions of a developing country. Utilising qualitative methods, the analysis has revealed that effective communication, mutual dependence, information sharing, informal financial support and building trust are some of the components of supply chain collaboration, that in turn, enhance the overall resilience of supply chain towards natural disasters.
