Land Settlement Board High Country Landscape Seminar, Lincoln College, Canterbury, 12-13 November 1984 : Report of proceedings and summary of working group findings

Abstract

The objectives formulated for the seminar as approved by the Land Settlement Board were: 1. To consider the landscape values of the high country specifically to determine whether there is a case for the protection of these values. 2. To provide an overview of existing statutory mechanisms, policy statements of central, regional and local government and the concern of interest groups. 3. Identify areas for future action and formulate a framework for a discussion document addressing relevant issues.
