Abstract

The author is a property and construction cost management professional contemplating self employment based in South Wairarapa. South Wairarapa is experiencing growth in tourism due to the wine and hospitality industries. This growth will directly and indirectly fuel demand for property consultancy services which currently are not being provided by local businesses. The purpose of this dissertation is to investigate the methodology to determine likely demand for property services in the area, and to demonstrate how this information should be incorporated into a detailed business plan.
