The Turning Point 2000 proposal to plant our national highway from Kaikoura to Christchurch and south to Waimate is a worthy one to make the new millennium, and one deserving of thoughtful consideration and careful planning, The year 2000 marks not only a new millennium, but an opportunity to pause for reflection and to embrace a vision and legacy for future New Zealanders
