Planning for the recreation use within a forest park: Bottle Lake Park, Christchurch: In partial fulfilment of the National Diploma in Horticulture of the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture

Abstract

This thesis has as its main aim the establishment of criteria to enable this particular exotic forest to be opened up for recreational use by the people of Christchurch. It also aims to pin point areas for recreational development, both long and short term, and provide a guide to future planting of forestry blocks for timber production and aesthetic purposes. Guidelines for establishing recreation facilities and other services will also be given.
