Indexes of the costs of investment goods from 1949/50 to 1963/64

Abstract

This publication describes, in some detail, the derivation of a new index of the prices of capital goods - buildings and plant and equipment. The indexes were constructed for the purpose of deflating investment expenditures to build up perpetual inventory estimates of real capital in the main sectors of the New Zealand economy.
