According to the hotel industry these points are no new and hotels have systems in place to manage the situation, but, in an ever-increasing customer-focused experimental economy, whereh the employees' experience can impact the quests' experience, is such a view appropriate or sustainable? This paper argues it is not and reports the finds of triangulated research investigating the overall experiences of the hotel industry's employees, management view on why employees leave the industry (which is for better remuneration), comparisons of remuneration between industries and analyses of hotels Average Daily Room Rates as part of notion of ability to pay higher wages.
