Abstract

The objective of this dissertation is to analyse the reasons for the poor quality turf surface, to make recommendations for its improvement and to give a guide to the cost of carrying out the recommended work.

Hopefully this dissertation will lead to the introduction of a turf improvement programme for other areas of Hagley Park and in time to the general improvement of sports grounds in other city parks.
