Abstract
The apartment is becoming an integral part of the New Zealand Central Business District (CBD) and this is affecting commercial property values in both Auckland and Wellington. There is also a high percentage of investor-owners in the Auckland market which is the biggest and most mature property market in New Zealand. Do the same trends occur in a small market such as Christchurch? The purpose of this report is to work out the feasibility of building apartments in the Christchurch CBD.
