Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is threefold: (1) To collate accepted principles of aesthetic landscape design of motorways (2) To indicate with examples, the application and implementation of these principles to the landscaping of the Auckland Southern Motorway (3) To present a landscape concept for Grafton Gully, a section of the Auckland Inner City motorway system
