Abstract
The 15th ANZAM Operations, Supply Chain and Services Management (OSCSM) Symposium will focus at the value adding role of operations and
supply chain management for firms and the society – globally as well as for the ANZAM region. We seek contributions from academics
and practitioners on the issues in the operations, supply chain, and services management discipline and especially on the themes below as
well as other: OSCSM and value adding: who/what determines value, how is value created, communicated, captured and delivered in
supply chains? How does OSCSM operationalise the concept of value? How is value measured?
Societal understating of OSCSM as a discipline: how general public views OSCSM and its role within/contribution for national economies? How can we enhance general public’s awareness about the importance of OSCSM?
OSCSM and sustainability: how can OSCSM add value to the pursuit of sustainability? What is the impact of OSCSM practices on global sustainability? What is the role/impact of voluntary certifications on
sustainability? Can supply chains effectively regulate themselves to achieve sustainability?
OSCSM and circular economy: what is the role of OSCSM in the circular economy? What supply chain designs/ models can enhance the concept of product take back? Who and how should govern the principles of circular economy in general and specifically for in terms of supply
chain management?
OSCSM and innovation: what skills and competence in OSCSM are critical for innovation and New Product Development?
