Abstract
Art therapy explores issues related to colonial era monuments in Aotearoa New Zealand. The possible ways of responding to the 'problem' of the statues is related to a range of international art strategies. This was the winning entry in the inaugural Michèle Whitecliffe Art Writing Prize, judged by international art critic Charles Darwent.
