Abstract
A drop of 225 stud Corriedale ram hoggets were midside sampled at hogget shearing. Greasy fleece weights were recorded and quality number assessed. Samples were scoured to give yield and clean fleece weight and then subjected to further measurements to provide average fibre diameter, staple length, staple strength, scoured colour for brightness and yellowness, susceptibility to discolouration, bulk and medullation.
