Abstract
Cancer eye in cattle is the layman's term for 'Bovine ocular squamous cell carcinoma'. This is the precise name for the tumour. The scientific name means: Bovine - like an ox; ocular - the eye or sight; squamous - the type of cell; cell - enclosed cavity; carcinoma - a form of cancer. Cancer eye is a cancer which is a problem to a small degree in New Zealand overall, but in certain areas of the country it is of major concern. There are many fallacies with B.O.S.C.C. many of which have been proved wrong in recent years but some have been proved correct in the last 20 years. In the following project I will show what B.O.S.C.C. is, how it develops, what are the main causes and some suspected causes.
