Abstract
This review examines the advantages of Sale by Description as seen by the Australian Wool Corporation in 1983. It also covers length and strength measurement of wool, focusing on the alternatives in terms of subjective and objective assessment. The Literature Review aims to provide the reader with a background to the topics covered in the survey of the Christchurch wool industry. The survey examined the industry's attitude to objective measurement, Sale by Description, computer blending and export quality control.
