Abstract
The aim of this particular study, was to examine the uptake of phosphate by the New Zealand broadleaf Griselinia littoralis with emphasis on the role played by the associated endophytic symbiotic organism of the plant. An attempt was also made to locate the pathway taken by the phosphate in reaching the shoot system of a mycorrhizal plant. Finally, factors affecting this phosphate absorption were examined.
