    The role of chain-wide governance in agribusiness value chains: An exploratory case study

    Abstract
    The concept of firm value creation and capture has gathered ongoing interest from academics. However, the issue of end-to-end governance of value chains has received less attention. This research focuses on the governance of value co-creation and collaborative activities that take place between organisations by adopting an exploratory multiple case study methodology of five cases. The results highlight the importance of integrated governance, channel leadership, value co-creation, and brand ownership and control as key drivers of value creation and capture.
