Abstract
Park "Millennium" became a real pearl in the necklace of the shore green zone of Chicago. A crucial year for the city was 1997, when the Mayor of Chicago Richard Daily took a decision to construct a park that was to play a role of a new dominant of the city central part. The park Millennium located in the area of 10 hectares has become one of the most significant and expensive multi-disciplinary landscape projects throughout Chicago's history. It is apotheosis of achievements of modern landscape science, architecture, sculpture, art, engineering, landscape architecture and ecological thinking. Today the Millennium is considered to be one of the most famous parks of contemporary USA.
