Mammary gland metabolism of glucose acetate, stearate and oleate in the ewe : A thesis submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Agricultural Science in the University of Canterbury [Lincoln College]
Abstract
Ruminant mammary gland metabolism has been extensively studied both in the goat and the cow. Little similar data is available for the lactating ewe. Thus, it was thought
worthwhile to investigate the manunary gland metabolism of acetate, glucose and lipids in the ewe and compare the results with the other two species.
