The potassium status of some Canterbury soils considered as a pedogenic function : A thesis submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the Degree of Master of Agricultural Science in the University of Canterbury

    Hay, Michael James Magnus
    Abstract
The aim of this study was to evaluate the potassium status of a selection of Canterbury soils and to relate differences in potassium status with variations in the soil-forming factors. Careful selection of sites and incorporation of the soil sequence technique has been used to reduce the variable soil-forming factors to two and allow isolation of the effect of each. The depletive effect of man on soil potassium status has also been investigated.
