The Guthrie-Smith Trust Board's main concern is the management of Tutira Station a 2000 acre hill country farm. Their policy statement is for the use of the station to benefit young New Zealanders. The Trust has a concern and interest in the youth of New Zealand. However their knowledge and experience of outdoor education is limited to that of having a Centre on Tutira station. It appears that in the past the Trust Board has been poorly informed on the Centre's operation, facilities and programmes. The first part of the evaluation describes the Centre's facilities, equipment and programmes providing the managers with a background on the Centre. The second part of the evaluation is a teacher survey. Other interest groups have been interviewed to gather information. The information from the survey and interviews provide the basis for the third part of the document, the evaluation. The fourth and final part is the recommendations that can be used by the Centre's Managers to determine future management decisions.en
