Abstract
To date, studies made of this area have been mainly concerned with summing the resources not only of recreational value but of climatic, geologic and hydrological interest. In this study the author has directed his interest toward the physical, social and economic impacts created by the presence of four skifields on the Craigieburn Range. Thus this study is an exploration and interpretation
of some of the factors which may influence development pathways to future recreational use of the area.
