High-country fencing
Abstract
Fencing is now recognised as a major aid towards improved management of runs. With costs of both materials and labour high and rising, it is essential that all fences erected be well planned, and well constructed of the best but most economical materials for the
site. This booklet will discuss materials, siting and construction of fences on hill and high country. The aim should be to build fences that are stock proof, low in maintenance, and constructed at reasonable cost with longest life.
