    Survey of the association between financial performance and corporate sustainability performance

    Abstract
    This paper shows the association between Corporate Financial Performance (CFP) and Corporate Sustainability Performance (CSP) in The Cement Companies Accepted at Tehran Stock Exchange. Using social contract theories, it examines the incentives for Iranian Cement firms to invest in sustainability principles and develop a number of hypotheses that relate CSP to firm-specific characteristics. The hypothesis testing results state that there is no association between financial performance and corporate sustainability performance in the cement companies accepted at Tehran Stock Exchange between 2007 and 2011.
