Abstract
First off, we should get the name right. The letters GRP abbreviate "Glass Reinforced Plastic", the correct term for the material many people refer to as "fibreglass". Glass fibres are in fact only one of the constituents and give GRP its high strength. The other, a thermoset plastic (resin) gives the fibres rigidity and form. I shall show that this material is very easy to work and can be considered for many projects, perhaps the odd 'foreigner', and also for farmer projects. GRP is especially useful when an article is required in small numbers and is of a complicated shape.
