Victoria Square : a study of central city open space

Abstract
This study firstly looks at the historical function and structure of central city open space. It then considers Christchurch and the function and structure of its central squares. The study finally takes a detailed look at a specific square in Christchurch, Victoria Square, and concludes by suggesting design possibilities to improve the Square's function and structure.
