Abstract
The production of milk for town supply is the most important function of the dairying industry of any country, and New Zealand is no exception. This is so because an adequate supply of fresh, clean, safe milk of guaranteed food value, on every day of the year, is required for the health and well-being of human beings. This is especially the case for young people and for expectant and nursing mothers.
