The landscape study involves a survey of the existing village with regard to its regional context. This is undertaken in order to identify characteristic features. Given that future growth has already been planned for, an alternative plan more sympathetic to the environment is proposed. The study concludes with a proposal for the Thompson Memorial Community Centre’s development.enFranz Joseflandscape architecturetown planninglandscape planninglandscape valuesFranz Josef, township of Waiho Gorge : an alternative extension proposalDissertationDigital thesis can be viewed by current staff and students of Lincoln University only.
