Urlich, Stephen2020-09-282019-01-21https://hdl.handle.net/10182/12821Conservation in New Zealand is at a crossroads. Threatened species continue to face extinction. There are also serious social issues around poison drops in forests. A new approach is needed to resolve these conundrums. Recently I discussed possible paths we could take to preserve our biological treasures in the NZ Journal of Ecology (http://newzealandecology.org/nzje/3202). Only one of these paths can realistically lead to a future where some native bird species are able to thrive, with little or no further help from us.pp.14-14conservation choicesadaptive evolutionTaking the right path at conservation crossroadPopular Press / News Item
