Lincoln University has been involved with this leaders programme since 1979 when it was launched with a grant from the Kellogg Foundation, USA.This report provides an overview of some of the developments in technology and how they have impacted on dairy farming at an industry level as well as an individual level. The process of innovation and adoption that can be applied to farmers is discussed, followed by a review of how proven precision technology is being used in some current dairy farming businesses. Finally, two case studies provide an insight into the adoption process some farmers have employed to incorporate new technology/systems on their own farms.enCopyright © The Author.technology adoptionfarmersdairy industryagricultural technologyTechnology use on farmsMonographThis Kellogg Rural Leaders Programme report can be viewed only by current staff and students of Lincoln University.ANZSRC::10 TechnologyANZSRC::070107 Farming Systems ResearchANZSRC::170202 Decision Making
