Water challenges will be particularly important for the Asia-Pacific region-the world's fastest tourism growth region, with a total of 216 million international tourist arrivals in 2011. This White Paper on Tourism and Water provides an overview of the key water related challenges for the tourism industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
