Taking earlier work by Laing and Zwart as a starting point, their model is re-estimated using extra data now available. The pastoral sector has traditionally been of major importance in the New Zealand economy. As a background to the model specification, the recent history and current state of the pastoral sector is briefly reviewed and key factors for model specification are identified.enlivestock productivityeconometric modelpastoral farmingNew Zealand livestock sector model : 1986 versionMonographMarsden::340201 Agricultural economicsMarsden::340208 Macroeconomics (incl. monetary and fiscal theory)Marsden::340103 Mathematical economics
