This information was collected through personal interviews at each hotel that was studied. Participation in this research was voluntary. An open invitation was sent to all first class and luxury hotels of the city and some of them accepted to participate. The findings show that most of their actions could be classified as low-cost environmental practices; however, a few of them could need the usage of high technology.pp.400-416sp© The authors.
