Prior to and during the term of this contract, a study of mathematical theories and applications of stochastic differential calculus was undertaken in order to formulate numerical models which characterise the flow in heterogeneous porous media. A preliminary model was developed using Mathematica® and computational experiments are being carried out to make further improvements to the model.enstochastic modellingporous mediumaquifersstochastic differential equationdiffusionsolute dispersionhydrologyDevelopment of a stochastic solute transport modelOtherMarsden::260501 Groundwater hydrologyMarsden::291101 Environmental engineering modelling
