dc.description.abstractThis study provides an overview of the New Zealand trade situation over the past 25 years. It complements other studies of trade patterns that have been carried out at Lincoln and considers the specific changes that have occurred in the deregulated environment since 1984. The analysis clearly demonstrates the complexity of the trends in trade patterns, and the need for careful analyses of this type to identify the changes that have occurred during this important time in New Zealand's economic history.en
