Dryand pastures - agronomy and grazing management

Abstract

This presentation explains the agronomy, growth and development of a range of pasture species used in dryland pastoral systems in New Zealand. It shows the effects of temperature, water and fertilisers on productivity and persistence. Pasture establishment, seasonal grazing management requirements, animal health and liveweight production are discussed.
