Abstract
This study highlighted the importance of sowing date in determining yields of supplementary feed crops as this is affects by the accumulation of thermal time. It also showed cultivar selection can be used to even out feed supply with the regrowth ability of Moata and Illia winter barley making up for lower initial growth rates.
